"Quality Aluminum Products" are made in accordance with high standards of engineering skill, quality controlled through every stage of manufacture. "Quality Aluminum Products" are guaranteed not to split, chip, flake, blister, peel under normal use and service conditions or direct result of a manufacturer defect for the period of forty (40) years from the date of installation, subject to the following terms and conditions.

This Warranty remains in effect for as long as the Original Property Owner(s) is living and is the original owner(s) of the property to which Products were applied. In the event that there is more than one Original Property Owner, this Warranty will remain in effect as long as one of the Original Property Owners are living and owns an interest in the property. This Warranty is transferable by the Original Property Owner(s) to subsequent owner(s) of the property and by any subsequent owner(s) of the property to another subsequent owner(s) of the property. In the event of transfer of this Warranty, the warranty period shall be 20 years from the original date of installation.

When the property is owned by anyone other than an individual(s), such as in the case of a corporation, condominium or cooperative housing arrangement, unincorporated association, school, church, government or public entity, etc., the warranty period shall be 20 years from the original date of installation.

Any claim hereunder must be presented to the Manufacturer (Quality Aluminum Products, Inc.) in writing within the warranty period and promptly after any splitting, chipping, peeling, flaking, or blistering has occurred and must be accompanied by this document or reference to its date of issue and Owner's name and address as they appear hereon. The Manufacturer upon receiving notification of a claim shall have the right to inspect product. In the event Manufacturer is denied access for an inspection, this Warranty is void. The Manufacturer shall have the right to inspect material on owner's premises and if it determines that the materials have failed under the terms of the warranty, Manufacturer will, at its option, refinish, replace, repair or refund the purchase price paid for the actual defective material. Manufacturer shall perform its obligations under the warranty, weather permitting, within one hundred twenty (120) days, but no more than one hundred eighty (180) days after receipt of notice of defect.

No extension of this warranty will occur as a result of any repair. If after inspection, the Manufacturer determines that the claim is valid under this guarantee, it will at its option, either refinish or replace material only, the Aluminum Siding panels in which any splitting, chipping, peeling, flaking or blistering has occurred. The cost of refinishing or replacement shall be prorated between the manufacturer and the Owner as follows:

NON-PRO RATED LIMITED WARRANTY

LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE Quality aluminum Products warrants that the Products, if installed according to the manufacturer's specifications, are free from defects in material and workmanship in the course of manufacture, and that the finish on the products will not chip, peel, flake or blister under conditions of ordinary wear for as long as the Original Property Owner(s) owns the property to which the Products were applied, subject to the exclusions and limitations set forth in this Warranty. In the event of any breach of the above Warranty, subject to the exclusions and limitations set forth below, Quality Aluminum Products will, upon notification and validation of the complaint in writing, weather repair, replace or refinish, at its option, the warranty period, such as repair, replacement or refinishing will be at no cost to the owner. During the remaining years of the warranty period, Quality Aluminum Products will be responsible only to furnish materials for the repair, replacement or refinishing of the Products in breach of this Warranty, and the owner will be responsible for any other costs. If the defective Products cannot be repaired, replaced or refinished after a reasonable number of attempts, Quality Aluminum Products shall refund the original purchase price of the defective products (material and labor during the first three years, materials only thereafter), Quality Aluminum Products' obligations under this Warranty shall in no event exceed the original purchase price of the defective Products (material and labor during the first three years, materials only thereafter). Any costs and expenses beyond Quality Aluminum Products' liability hereunder shall be the responsibility of the owner(s).

COVERAGE AND EXCLUSION

COVERAGE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
1. This warranty does not cover damage of any kind resulting from faulty or improper installation; accidental damage; settlement; structural shrinkage or distortion of property structure; fire; lightning, hurricane, tornado, windstorm, earthquake, hail, or other acts of God; harmful chemicals (including harmful cleaning compounds); fumes and vapors; surface deterioration due to air pollution; misuse; abuse; vandalism; normal weathering; mildew accumulation; the owners failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance of the Products; impact of foreign objects; or other causes beyond reasonable control of Quality Aluminum Products. This Warranty shall not apply to Products which have been painted or whose surface has been altered in any way without written authorization from Quality Aluminum Products.

2.Quality Aluminum Products reserves the right to discontinue or change any designs or colors of any of its products. If, for any reason, the products originally installed are not available at the time of defect, Quality Aluminum Products shall have the right to substitute another product determined by Quality Aluminum Products to be of comparable quality and price.

THE MANUFACTUER MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT SUCH AS ARE EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN.

Quality Aluminum Products can not and shall not be liable to you for a breach of any other written or oral expressed warranties, such as those, if any, given to you by dealers, contractors, applicators, or distributors of the Products. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES IMPOSED BY LAW, SUCH AS THE IMPLIES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PERPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY. QUALITY ALUMINUM PRODUCTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES for breach of any express, written, oral or implied warranty on the Products. Your EXCLUSIVE REMEDY for any breach of warranty shall be set forth in this Warranty. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AS IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Any claim for damages covered in the written terms of this warranty must be promptly presented in writing to Warranty Services Claims, Quality Aluminum Products, Inc., P.O. Box 668, Flat Rock Michigan 48134-0668, accompanied by a copy of the homeowner's warranty certificate and a copy of the contract whereby homeowner purchased material.

WARRANTY TRANSFER This Warranty is transferable by the Original Property Owner(s) to a subsequent Owner(s) of the property and by any subsequent Owner(s) of the property to another subsequent Owner(s) of the property as a five (5) year nonprorated warranty from the original date of installation. The obligations of the Original Property Owner(s) hereunder shall then become the obligations of the new Owner(s). Written notice of transfer of the property should be given to Quality Aluminum Products within 30 days after the date for transfer of ownership. Such notice should include the warranty registration number (if available), the address of the property being transferred, the name and mailing address (if different) of the new Owner(s) and the date of transfer. Such notice should be sent to Quality Aluminum, Warranty Transfer, P.O. Box 668 Flat Rock Michigan 48134-0668. Failure to so notify Quality Aluminum will void the Warranty, but such notice will assist Quality Aluminum in processing any warranty claim.
